Sfolio Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Orinno Co. Limited ("Orinno", "we", "us"), the Ugandan company that owns and operates the Sfolio school management platform, uses cookies and similar technologies on sfolioapp.com and within the Sfolio application itself.

This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal data. It applies to anyone who visits our website or logs into Sfolio, including School administrators, teachers, and other Authorised Users.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They let the site remember information about your visit, such as keeping you logged in between pages, and are a standard part of how modern web applications like Sfolio work. We also use closely related technologies such as browser local storage for similar purposes; references to "cookies" in this Policy cover those too.

3. Cookies We Use

These are the only cookies sfolioapp.com and the Sfolio application currently set. Both are strictly necessary, Sfolio does not set any analytics, advertising, or other optional cookie.

Cookie name Purpose Type Duration
sfolio-session Keeps you signed in and remembers your session as you move between pages in the Platform Strictly necessary Session (cleared on logout or after a period of inactivity)
XSRF-TOKEN Security token that protects your account and the Platform against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks Strictly necessary Session

4. Why We Use Cookies

We use the cookies listed above only to make Sfolio work: keeping you logged in as you move between pages, remembering your session so you don't have to re-authenticate on every click, and protecting your account and data from forgery-based attacks. None of these cookies are used to track you across other websites, build an advertising profile, or sell information about you.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Sfolio does not currently embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts that set their own cookies. The Platform does load some resources, such as web fonts, from third-party content delivery networks; these typically do not set cookies on your device, but connecting to any third-party server can expose your IP address to that provider as a normal part of how the web works, independent of cookies.

If we add a third-party analytics, payment, or support-chat tool in the future that sets its own cookies, we will update this Policy and Section 3's table to reflect it, and will seek consent first for anything beyond strictly necessary cookies, where required by law.

6. Managing & Disabling Cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menu. Because the cookies Sfolio uses are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them will prevent you from logging in or will log you out mid-session, the Platform cannot function without them.

If you wish to manage cookies generally across the sites you visit, your browser's help documentation will explain how (for example, under Settings > Privacy and Security in most modern browsers).

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly if we add new cookies or third-party tools to the Platform. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this document when we do, and will notify Schools of any material change through the channels described in our Privacy Policy.
